(Junior) Design Manager (all genders) – Luxury Retail

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential luxury retail agency seeking a Design Manager to join their Stuttgart team. This role sits at the intersection of creative vision and technical execution, working on high-end window campaigns and retail installations for prestigious brands.

As part of our client's interdisciplinary team, you'll translate creative briefs into stunning retail experiences, managing everything from prototyping to on-site installation while maintaining the highest aesthetic standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate creative briefs into sustainable retail campaigns for luxury sector clients, working closely with project management
• Execute technical implementation of window campaigns with high aesthetic requirements, coordinating with prototyping, production teams, and client stakeholders
• Define production processes with internal teams, select materials, create technical drawings and production documentation while adhering to budget and timeline constraints
• Manage quality gates throughout production and set-up phases, providing production-focused guidance
• Develop and deliver compelling client presentations for prototyping, visual merchandising, and pre-assembly phases
• Conduct site visits and oversee window installations, assessing technical feasibility on location and maintaining close client communication

What We're Looking For

• Degree in technical or design field with minimum 1 year experience in 3D design, ideally with prototyping and production exposure
• Proven experience working with creative briefs, particularly technical descriptions, compositions, colors and materials, surfaces, and feasibility assessments
• Proficiency in at least one 3D program and one visualization tool, plus working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong communication skills in both English and German
• Willingness to travel for on-site installations
• Independent, detail-oriented working style with strong design sensibility and interest in innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship
