Senior People Partner – Product & Functions

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization expanding its People function across product, design, and global support teams. This Senior People Partner role offers genuine portfolio ownership from day one, partnering with senior leaders who are scaling customer-facing technology and operational teams across multiple African markets.

You'll serve as trusted advisor to product, design, and digital lending leadership, while also owning the people agenda for fraud prevention, corporate communications, marketing, and impact measurement teams. The portfolio is deliberately varied—you'll build credibility with creative, iterative product teams and high-stakes operational functions in the same week.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders across product, design, analytics, fraud, communications, and marketing functions to align people strategy with business delivery
• Support organizational design, workforce planning, and structural change across your client groups
• Develop people management capability across your portfolio, from performance conversations to hiring and talent development
• Implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain product, design, and analytics talent in competitive markets
• Work with Centres of Excellence to translate people analytics into actionable insights and leadership guidance
• Manage employee relations cases across your portfolio, partnering with specialist ER support on complex matters
• Embed organizational culture at every touchpoint, from performance systems to team rituals
• Collaborate closely with the Lead People Partner for Technology on shared strategic priorities

What We're Looking For

Required experience and capabilities:

• HR business partnering experience with senior leaders in scaling technology, fintech, or high-growth environments, with demonstrated portfolio ownership
• Direct exposure to product, design, marketing, or analytics teams—you understand how these functions are built, motivated, and retained
• Breadth and adaptability: you're comfortable switching between very different team types (creative vs. operational) in the same day
• Strategic and operational range: you can shape long-term plans and execute the day-to-day work that brings them to life
• Experience supporting cross-cultural, globally distributed teams across multiple regions
• Strong analytical and advisory instinct—you use data, influence, and judgment to guide leaders through trade-offs and risks
• Confident handling employee relations matters across multiple jurisdictions, partnering with ER specialists rather than carrying every case alone (Europe/UK exposure is a plus)

Location: Fully remote, based in the United Kingdom or Nigeria
