Senior O&M Asset Manager – Europe

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior O&M Asset Manager to oversee photovoltaic and battery energy storage portfolios across Europe. In this role, you will:

• Hold senior accountability for asset management performance, ensuring compliance with service agreements, key performance indicators, budgets, and operational targets
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Asset Managers, setting clear objectives and building technical capability across the function
• Serve as the primary escalation point and customer interface for complex technical, contractual, warranty, and corrective service matters
• Perform advanced contract analysis to identify risks, obligations, and value optimization opportunities while supporting service agreement negotiations
• Provide senior technical oversight by reviewing root cause analyses, interpreting SCADA data, and assessing equipment performance logs
• Lead service partner performance management in collaboration with procurement and operations teams, focusing on cost control and service quality
• Drive data-driven asset management through availability analysis, spare parts strategy development, and lifecycle cost optimization
• Ensure strong cross-functional coordination with project delivery, commercial, and engineering teams to support asset transitions and continuous improvement
• Contribute directly to business profitability through cost optimization, risk management, and performance-driven decision-making
• Champion process improvements in reporting, asset performance, reliability, and team workflows across the European asset management function

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned professional with deep technical and commercial expertise in renewable energy operations:

• Degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline
• Strong technical background in photovoltaic and battery energy storage technologies
• Extensive experience in O&M asset management, including complex portfolios and long-term service agreements
• Advanced expertise in contract analysis, including warranties, service level agreements, penalties, liabilities, and risk allocation
• Proven ability to review and validate root cause analyses and analyze SCADA data at a senior decision-making level
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with strong coaching and accountability skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills with customers, internal teams, and service partners
• Highly analytical, structured, and commercially minded with a strong focus on profitability and value creation
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional European languages are advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel for data analysis
• Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, matrix organization with regular senior leadership interaction
