Senior National Account Manager – Industry & Manufacturing

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential food manufacturing organization seeking a Senior National Account Manager to lead commercial growth across Industry & Manufacturing sectors in the UK and Ireland. In this role, you will:

• Execute growth strategy across bakery, desserts, soups, sauces, and beverage manufacturing sectors, identifying and securing new commercial opportunities
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with procurement, commercial, technical, and culinary stakeholders at leading food manufacturers
• Collaborate with culinary, marketing, technical, and R&D teams to develop innovative recipes and product applications
• Drive commercial excellence through negotiations, joint business planning, pricing discussions, and long-term agreements
• Manage and coach a Junior Key Account Manager, fostering accountability and high performance
• Own commercial growth for a key business area with strong margin performance in the UK market

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a commercially driven account manager with:

• Proven experience managing strategic B2B accounts within foodservice, FMCG, or food manufacturing sectors
• Strong track record of growing long-term commercial opportunities and securing new partnerships
• Deep understanding of manufacturing customer complexity and ability to build trusted relationships
• Demonstrated commercial acumen through leading negotiations, pricing strategy, and joint business planning
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills, with ability to work cross-functionally
• Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and curiosity to identify new opportunities
• Genuine interest in food culture, consumer behavior, and future food trends
• Understanding of how taste, nutrition, and functionality drive innovation in food products
• Line management experience preferred

This is a hybrid role based in London (Southwark), requiring presence in the UK.
