Senior Manager, Coach & Instructor Enablement

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential EdTech organization in their search for a Senior Manager, Coach & Instructor Enablement. This is a 14-month fixed-term contract based in London, supporting a delivery function that serves thousands of learners across multiple programmes.

In this role, you will lead a team of six specialists and drive enablement strategy across four capability pillars: Delivery Fundamentals, Operational & Regulatory Change, Technical Skills & Programme Requirements, and Timely Assessment & Achievement. You'll build the Enablement Operations platform while simultaneously delivering results across a large-scale delivery organization.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for enablement across four capability pillars, defining owners, mandates, and success measures for each
• Build and operationalize an Enablement Operations function that ensures the right people receive training and updates on time
• Manage a visible enablement roadmap, making trade-offs and re-sequencing work as delivery data and business needs evolve
• Partner cross-functionally with Learning, Operations, Quality, and Delivery teams to drive outcomes you don't directly control
• Respond to performance trends from monthly calibration sessions, observations, and delivery data in collaboration with Delivery Leadership
• Lead, develop, and manage six enablement specialists through regular one-to-ones, feedback, and clear individual KPIs
• Ensure hundreds of coaches and instructors maintain quality standards, regulatory compliance, and technical currency across all programmes
• Drive learner retention and achievement outcomes through effective enablement of frontline delivery teams

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record balancing cross-functional relationships and competing priorities while delivering impact in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Demonstrable operator who has taken loosely defined initiatives and made them run with clear owners, measures, cadence, and reporting
• Experience delivering outcomes that depended almost entirely on teams you did not manage, with ability to explain exactly how
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities; ability to decide on incomplete information, name accepted risks, and change course without losing momentum
• Data-led approach to decision-making, using performance data to identify intervention points and hold stakeholders accountable
• AI-native operator who builds scalable cadences using AI for collating and tracking, reducing manual overhead
• Background in enablement, L&D, capability building, delivery operations, or quality in an at-scale frontline organization
• Experience in apprenticeships, regulated education, or other regulated delivery environments strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to write executive one-pagers and facilitate effective calibration sessions
• Ability to hold quality, compliance, and pace simultaneously in a regulated environment
