Senior Java Fullstack Developer mit technischem Fokus (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential client in the public-sector technology space. As a Senior Java Fullstack Developer, you will support a large-scale modernization initiative involving cross-system business process orchestration and integration.

• Develop high-performance backend components using Java (17/21) and Spring Boot
• Design and implement cross-application processes and integrate them into existing system landscapes
• Contribute to the development of data processing and transformation components within large, distributed systems
• Coordinate with technical stakeholders and project teams—primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings (approximately once per month in Kaarst)
• Architect technical solutions for application monitoring and control, including backend services that supply UI components
• Conduct developer testing and ensure software quality standards
• Maintain, support, and continuously optimize existing software components
• Create technical documentation including operations manuals and interface specifications

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of practical experience in Java development with strong knowledge of modern software architectures
• Expert-level proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot and experience developing scalable backend systems
• Deep experience designing microservices, distributed systems, and highly available architectures
• Proven track record developing frameworks or libraries in the Java ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with Camunda (BPMN) and modeling complex business processes
• Strong expertise with messaging technologies such as Kafka and AMQ
• Solid knowledge of databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA)
• Experience with REST and SOAP interfaces, XML/JSON processing, and standard web service protocols
• Comfortable working with Linux systems and basic shell scripting
• Structured, analytical working style with high quality standards in software development
• Experience in the public sector or complex enterprise environments is advantageous
• Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken (C1 level required)
