Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer (100% Remote Germany)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their cloud platform. In this role, you will:

• Architect and evolve scalable, secure cloud infrastructure supporting a globally used analytics platform
• Define infrastructure standards and long-term technical direction for the business-critical production environment
• Drive cost optimization and performance improvements across cloud resources
• Own uptime, SLAs, and incident management practices
• Lead post-incident reviews and implement systemic improvements
• Define monitoring, alerting, and observability strategy
• Lead Infrastructure as Code maturity and governance initiatives
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability
• Enable engineering teams through better tooling and platform capabilities
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and security teams

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles
• Deep AWS and cloud architecture expertise
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience
• Proven track record of owning complex, production systems
• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability
• Ability to influence teams and drive technical decisions
• Must be based in Germany for this 100% remote position

Preferred experience:

• Kubernetes and container platforms at scale
• High-availability SaaS products
• Compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
• Mentoring engineers and shaping engineering practices
