(Senior) Financial Accountant Real Estate (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential real estate investment organization with operations in Germany. We're searching for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Leipzig office and take ownership of complex accounting responsibilities across multiple property entities.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering flexible working hours and opportunities to shape processes in a growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for multiple property entities and holding companies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under German Commercial Code (HGB) and Luxembourg GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT returns with attention to deadlines
• Serve as point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders
• Prepare annual tax documentation for external tax advisers
• Support optimization of financial processes and systems
• Contribute to finance department projects with your specialist knowledge and ideas

What We're Looking For

• University degree in business with accounting specialization, or commercial apprenticeship plus 3+ years professional experience; chartered accountant qualification is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of standard accounting software, ideally DATEV or Business Central
• Strong numerical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp financial interrelationships
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented work style
• Ability to maintain overview while managing diverse tasks in a dynamic environment
• Efficient working style both independently and collaboratively
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Fluent German (C2 level) and English (B2 level) required
