Senior Enterprise Security Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization in their search for a Senior Enterprise Security Architect based in Paris. Our client is experiencing significant digital transformation and needs an experienced security leader to design and implement enterprise-wide security architecture that aligns business processes with application, data, and infrastructure layers.

This is a staff-level position within the Platform Department, working alongside approximately thirty professionals across IT, GRC, SecOps, and related domains. You will serve as the primary architect responsible for translating cyber and IT strategy into actionable security architecture models.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements from an architectural perspective and translate them into performant, coherent security solutions
• Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust enterprise security architecture to maintain a coherent framework across projects
• Create secure architecture patterns for complex technology environments in collaboration with stakeholders
• Present recommendations and translate them into executable roadmaps for leadership
• Identify and specify implementation modalities for both existing and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into design and implementation phases
• Translate high-level security policies from GRC into detailed technical solutions within project designs
• Ensure all IT projects comply with current security standards and practices
• Design and recommend security standards, architecture principles, and technical requirements
• Conduct technical risk assessments and provide actionable mitigation strategies
• Serve as the primary point of contact between business and IT for architecture decisions
• Facilitate substantive decision-making processes within project teams and define validation mechanisms
• Stay current with IT architecture evolutions and assess their applicability to the organization

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 15 years of experience in security and technology with proven enterprise security architecture expertise
• Deep passion for security architecture with a track record of delivering high-quality architectural deliverables
• Strong analytical capabilities to understand complex business models and associated systems
• Ability to apply secure architectural patterns and successfully translate them into designs and system requirements
• Excellent communication skills that bring simplicity and transparency to complex technical solutions
• Advisory mindset with the ability to convince management of necessary technological evolutions
• Strong connection to technical implementation aspects, making you an effective partner for technical teams
• Commitment to documentation and communication to ensure architecture adoption across the organization
• In-depth knowledge of GCP cloud environments
• Expertise in security by design, zero trust architecture, and defense in depth principles
• Experience with AI security considerations and frameworks
• Strong understanding of MAC endpoint security
• Expertise in IAM systems and standards, particularly Okta
• Familiarity with compliance requirements including GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks
• Fluency in English required; French language skills preferred for this Paris-based role
