We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a distributed engineering team focused on healthcare initiatives. This is a remote role open to candidates across the United States, with hybrid expectations for those within commuting distance of the Arizona headquarters.

Our client is looking for an experienced engineering leader who combines deep healthcare domain expertise with strong people management capabilities. You'll lead a team of approximately 9–10 engineers across the United States and India, driving execution of critical healthcare technology projects while navigating the complexities of U.S. healthcare systems, data privacy, and interoperability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a healthcare engineering team of approximately 9–10 engineers distributed across the United States and India
• Provide people leadership, direction, accountability, and execution support across the engineering organization
• Structure, organize, and manage healthcare technology projects from planning through delivery
• Apply healthcare industry knowledge to engineering planning, decision-making, and execution
• Guide engineering teams through the nuances and complexities of U.S. healthcare technology
• Navigate healthcare data privacy considerations and how they influence technology architecture and project structure
• Drive execution involving healthcare interoperability requirements including FHIR standards
• Work effectively with technical teams while maintaining primary accountability for people leadership and delivery
• Lead healthcare initiatives connected to external business opportunities and customer requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 7–10+ years of relevant engineering experience with significant healthcare domain expertise
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering teams of approximately 10 engineers or comparable scope
• Strong people-management and team leadership capabilities
• Proven experience structuring and managing healthcare technology projects
• Hands-on experience with FHIR and healthcare-system interoperability
• Deep understanding of healthcare data privacy considerations and their impact on technology projects
• Technical knowledge sufficient to effectively lead engineering teams and participate in technical discussions
• Experience operating within U.S.-centric healthcare environments
• Ability to lead distributed engineering teams across multiple locations and time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or closely related healthcare technology environments
• Track record managing engineering organizations distributed across multiple locations
• Experience leading teams responsible for customer-driven or opportunity-driven healthcare projects
• Ability to translate healthcare-domain requirements into effective engineering execution
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools and modern engineering practices, applied appropriately in healthcare contexts

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will be determined based on your qualifications, experience, and the final role level. The expected range for this position is $105,000 – $160,000 annually.
