Account Executive, Commercial

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential IoT technology company in their search for a Commercial Account Executive. Our client is a leader in connected operations solutions, serving industries that power the global economy. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the USA.

In this high-energy sales role, you will bring innovative sensor and telematics technology to small and medium-sized businesses. You'll manage deals typically ranging from $5k to $20k, involving proof of concepts, multiple stakeholders, and multi-faceted negotiations with owners, safety managers, and operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Own the full customer engagement cycle from prospecting and qualification through close
• Generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting while managing inbound leads
• Target accounts with 11-30 vehicles in the commercial space
• Handle a high-volume, transactional sales process with consistent prospecting activity
• Conduct extensive cold calling to reach decision-makers in the field
• Build genuine, trust-based relationships with customers in traditional industries
• Learn the operational intricacies of diverse businesses from waste management to food distribution

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role
• Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
• Experience with high-volume cold calling and prospecting
• Demonstrated success in fast-paced, transactional sales environments
• Growth mindset and collaborative approach to selling

Preferred:

• Experience selling in the commercial space with small to medium deal sizes
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC)
• Natural curiosity about how different businesses operate
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Pay

The annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this position ranges from $106,050 to $151,500 USD, depending on your city of residence. This OTE includes base salary plus performance-based variable compensation. Our client also offers equity for eligible roles, comprehensive health benefits, parental leave, professional development stipends, and a flexible remote working model.
