Senior Enclosure Engineer – Mechanical

Fluenceenergy is seeking a Senior Enclosure Engineer – Mechanical to join our engineering team in Bangalore. In this full-time role, you'll take ownership of mechanical enclosure design and development, working across a dynamic technical team to create robust, reliable solutions that meet demanding performance standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical enclosures using CAD tools, applying best practices for thermal performance, material selection, and manufacturing efficiency
• Lead enclosure validation testing, including environmental testing, structural analysis, and compliance verification against industry standards
• Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to ensure enclosure designs support component placement, cooling requirements, and electrical safety
• Manage supplier relationships and manufacturing partnerships, reviewing quotes, tooling specifications, and production feasibility
• Troubleshoot design challenges in the field and during development, implementing corrective actions to improve performance and reliability
• Document engineering specifications, drawings, and technical procedures to ensure clarity and traceability across teams

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience in mechanical design and enclosure engineering
• Proven expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and the ability to produce manufacturing-ready drawings
• Strong understanding of thermal management, structural analysis, and mechanical design principles
• Experience with product certification and compliance standards (IP ratings, EMC, safety standards)
• Track record of shipping products or complex assemblies through development and into manufacturing
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and precision in technical work
