Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential energy technology organization seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer in Braunschweig. In this role, you will develop intelligent, networked systems that actively contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Developing embedded software solutions for central heating system controllers and future energy management platforms
- Contributing to the conception, planning, and implementation of embedded software projects from initial design through to series production
- Conducting software testing, error analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure product quality
- Optimizing development tools and CI/CD processes
- Working on hardware-close software development for resource-efficient, connected systems
What We're Looking For
Our client requires candidates with:
- Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in embedded software development
- Strong proficiency with Git version control
- Resource-efficient, object-oriented programming in C for embedded systems
- Understanding of multithreading, IoT, MQTT, and TCP/IP technologies
- Hardware knowledge including DMA, SPI, USARTs, timers, and watchdogs
- German language proficiency for day-to-day collaboration
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of control engineering
- Experience with FreeRTOS
- Familiarity with time-series databases
- Matlab/Simulink experience
