Senior Director, Community

About This Role

Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in their search for a Senior Director, Community. This is a remote leadership opportunity for candidates within approximately 50 miles of Boston, MA; Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Austin, TX; or Washington, DC.

Our client operates at the intersection of security research, enterprise customers, and professional services delivery. In this role, you will lead the strategy and operations for a global community of security professionals, while owning the commercial performance and delivery of a live event product line that serves enterprise clients. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will balance community growth, researcher enablement, and profitability across a complex, high-impact portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year strategy for a global security researcher community, aligning growth, engagement, and success programs to business objectives and customer outcomes
• Own product strategy, roadmap, and P&L for a live events suite, balancing customer value, researcher economics, and margin as you scale the portfolio
• Lead end-to-end professional services management and technical delivery of live security engagements—scoping, staffing, execution, quality, and customer outcomes—across a complex enterprise customer base
• Drive customer segmentation for community and events offerings, tailoring delivery models and owning senior client relationships
• Set and deliver researcher growth and retention goals tied to product-line demand and event capacity
• Embed AI into community operations, researcher enablement, event experiences, and program delivery to increase scale and efficiency
• Lead and develop the teams responsible for community success and live event operations, building capability and sustainable systems
• Establish metrics and analytics frameworks for community health, engagement, researcher lifecycle, profitability, delivery quality, and utilization
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue, and Executive Leadership to influence company priorities and product direction
• Lead through change as security landscapes, AI tools, and community expectations evolve

What We're Looking For

Minimum qualifications:

• 12+ years of combined experience in security/bug bounty, professional services or technical delivery, customer/client management, and community or ecosystem leadership, including leading managers and senior individual contributors
• Direct domain experience in security, professional services, client management, and/or bug bounty—sufficient to lead technical delivery and earn trust from both researchers and enterprise customers
• Experience owning a product line, service line, or P&L, with responsibility for profitability and growth targets
• Experience managing complex customer delivery and segmentation across global, enterprise accounts
• Experience building and executing growth strategies that deliver measurable business impact (engagement, retention, advocacy, revenue, margin)
• Experience using analytics and operational metrics to inform strategy and drive organizational performance

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience leading technical, developer, open-source, or marketplace communities
• Experience running live event operations or high-touch professional-services delivery at scale
• Experience implementing AI-powered workflows, automation, and engagement programs
• Experience in high-growth SaaS, cybersecurity, platform, or marketplace businesses
• Experience partnering with executive leadership to influence company strategy

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai varies by tier/location:

• Tier A: $247,000–$302,000
• Tier B: $222,000–$272,000
• Tier C: $210,000–$257,000
