Technical Consultant, S/4HANA

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is seeking a Technical Consultant, S/4HANA to join their enterprise solutions team. This role is specifically focused on supporting large, complex organizations running SAP S/4HANA with multi-entity environments, advanced ERP integrations, and highly customized financial workflows across Canada and the USA.

As a Technical Consultant, you'll work on the frontlines establishing partnerships with enterprise customers, acting as a liaison between clients and internal technical teams. You'll partner with customer activation and account management teams to identify, prioritize, and build financial solutions that scale with customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Technical Consultant for Enterprise and Strategic Enterprise accounts running SAP S/4HANA, supporting complex, high-impact customers with multi-entity, multi-ERP, and global financial environments
• Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal teams while supporting high-value implementations and expansion opportunities by guiding S/4HANA integration, configuration, and system design
• Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to assess customer requirements and propose scalable solutions involving S/4HANA, HRIS, and API integrations
• Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams, ensuring faster time-to-value and customer success
• Work with customers to problem-solve technical hurdles and propose effective product implementations with a deep understanding of S/4HANA integration and configuration options
• Participate in technical discovery to understand customer S/4HANA environments and workflows, and recommend best-fit architecture including when and how to use APIs
• Be a subject matter expert across SAP S/4HANA and accounting integration capabilities, partnering with Sales, Product, and partners to advocate for integration development aligned with customer needs
• Troubleshoot S/4HANA integration blockers and guide customers through complex configuration decisions
• Contribute to internal documentation and tooling that scales the ability to support S/4HANA integration use cases across a growing customer base
• Influence product roadmap by channeling S/4HANA customer pain points and feedback to Product and Engineering teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or a related field
• 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in a SaaS or fintech environment
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with SAP S/4HANA, including finance modules, integration patterns, and enterprise deployment models
• Deep familiarity with S/4HANA finance and accounting workflows, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and cost center management
• Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture and being able to explain those concepts to finance and operations stakeholders
• Strong communication skills: able to translate complex technical solutions into business value and guide customers toward scalable approaches
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
• Exceptional organization and problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and a high level of ownership
• Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments; adaptable and resourceful
