We are representing a leading data and AI consulting firm with a strong European presence. Our client is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI solutions across multiple industries including retail, luxury, consumer goods, healthcare, and finance.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will lead the design, delivery, and scaling of AI solutions while mentoring team members and serving as a trusted technical advisor.

Delivering end-to-end AI projects:

• Frame use cases with business teams, validate data availability, and define optimal approaches
• Design and implement machine learning and generative AI solutions that create measurable business impact
• Ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and production-ready through software engineering and MLOps best practices

Driving technical excellence:

• Translate business requirements into robust AI pipelines and architectures
• Promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to guarantee maintainability and scalability
• Explore and apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex problems

Acting as a trusted advisor:

• Explain AI approaches in clear, pragmatic terms, highlighting feasibility, risks, and ROI
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders from operational teams to management
• Provide expert technical guidance within projects

Contributing to team development:

• Mentor junior data scientists and support their professional growth
• Share best practices through workshops, documentation, and training sessions
• Contribute to internal tools and accelerators to improve delivery efficiency
• Maintain active technology watch and introduce new methods and frameworks

What We're Looking For

Required experience and skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying data-driven solutions
• Strong knowledge in applied machine learning and generative AI
• Solid understanding of software engineering and MLOps best practices
• Experience delivering AI projects in cloud environments
