About the Role

As a Snowflake Senior Data Engineer at PWC, you'll take on a senior technical leadership position within one of India's most dynamic consulting environments. You'll architect, implement, and optimise cloud-based data solutions for major enterprises across industries, working at the intersection of technology strategy and hands-on engineering. This role sits within our Data and Analytics Advisory services, where you'll partner with senior consultants to translate client business challenges into scalable, performant data platforms.

Core Duties

• Design and architect Snowflake data warehouse solutions tailored to enterprise client requirements and compliance standards
• Lead data engineering projects from discovery through deployment, mentoring junior engineers and establishing best practices
• Optimise data pipelines and warehouse performance, managing query efficiency, storage, and costs at scale
• Develop robust data governance frameworks and metadata management strategies for complex organisational environments
• Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence specialists, and stakeholders to define data models and analytics roadmaps
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in production data environments, ensuring reliability and uptime
• Stay current with cloud data platform innovations and drive adoption of new Snowflake capabilities

Requirements

• Strong, demonstrated expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and optimisation
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages for data transformation and pipeline development
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data warehouses or data lakes
• Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, particularly relevant to Indian regulatory environments
• Experience mentoring or leading technical teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
• Willingness to work on-site at Bengaluru Millenia as part of project delivery teams
