Join PwC as a Senior Associate within our Energy, Utilities & Resources Advisory practice, supporting the delivery of strategic consulting services in smart metering and intelligent gas technology across our Kolkata DN 57 location. This is a full-time role where you'll contribute to transforming utility infrastructure across European and Russian markets.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate in our EU&R Advisory team, you will work at the intersection of energy transition and technology implementation, focusing on smart metering solutions and intelligent gas technology projects. You'll partner with leading utility clients to develop and execute strategies that modernise energy distribution, improve operational efficiency, and enable regulatory compliance. Your work will span project lifecycle phases—from discovery and feasibility analysis through implementation support—leveraging insights that drive measurable client impact across the region.

What You'll Do

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, gather requirements, and synthesise findings into actionable recommendations for smart metering and iGT deployment initiatives
• Support the development of business cases, implementation roadmaps, and cost-benefit analyses aligned with regulatory frameworks and market conditions
• Work alongside senior consultants and client teams to validate technical feasibility, assess operational risks, and refine deployment strategies
• Prepare client-ready deliverables including presentation decks, analytical reports, and supporting documentation
• Contribute to proposal development, pricing analysis, and scoping for new advisory engagements
• Build knowledge of utilities sector trends, regulatory drivers, and technology landscapes across European and Russian markets

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or a related discipline
• 2–4 years of consulting, project management, or business analysis experience—ideally within utilities, energy, infrastructure, or telecommunications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with comfort translating complex data into clear recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders and distil technical concepts for varied audiences
• Familiarity with energy sector fundamentals, regulatory frameworks, or technology implementation (smart grids, IoT, or similar) is valued
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in structured project environments and meet client and internal deadlines
