Prismahealth is hiring an Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) to deliver critical pre-hospital care with our Oconee Ambulance Services team in Seneca, SC. About This Position

As an Emergency Medical Technician with Prismahealth's ambulance services, you'll be dispatched to emergency scenes across Seneca and surrounding areas to assess, stabilize, and transport patients in acute medical situations. This role demands quick decision-making, physical endurance, and compassion under pressure. You'll work variable hours in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly save lives and improve patient outcomes before hospital arrival.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to emergency dispatch calls and arrive at patient locations
• Conduct rapid patient assessments and provide appropriate emergency medical interventions
• Operate ambulance equipment, oxygen systems, and monitoring devices
• Transport patients safely to receiving medical facilities while monitoring their condition
• Maintain detailed, accurate patient care reports and documentation
• Collaborate effectively with paramedics, hospital staff, and other emergency responders
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and equipment inventory
• Adhere to all medical protocols, safety regulations, and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current EMT certification or ability to obtain certification
• Valid South Carolina driver's license with good driving record
• Active CPR certification (BLS preferred)
• Physical ability to lift and carry patients, often in challenging environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability and commitment to consistent, punctual performance
• Ability to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations
