Prismahealth seeks an experienced Underwriter for Contracting & Network Development to join our team in a full-time, day-shift position at one of our two locations. Role Overview

As an Underwriter specializing in Contracting & Network Development, you'll play a critical role in evaluating, structuring, and managing contracts that shape our network partnerships. Working full-time during day hours, you'll analyze risk profiles, ensure compliance with underwriting standards, and support the growth of our contracted provider network. This is a hands-on position ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, detail-oriented healthcare setting.

Your Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate contracts for network partners and providers, assessing financial and operational risk
• Apply established underwriting guidelines and policies to contract terms and conditions
• Support network development initiatives by analyzing contract opportunities and partnership proposals
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and clinical teams to ensure contracts meet organizational standards
• Prepare underwriting reports and recommendations for internal stakeholders
• Monitor compliance with contract terms and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all underwriting activities

What You Bring

• Proven experience in underwriting, healthcare contracting, or network development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, reimbursement models, and contracting practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management systems
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in healthcare, finance, or related field
