Responsibilities
- Oversee complex commercial litigation files from initial instructions through to resolution or final judgment
- Appear and advocate on behalf of clients in the District Court, Supreme Court and Federal Court
- Draft precise pleadings, court submissions, affidavits, evidence outlines and related documents
- Advise commercial clients on dispute strategy, risk assessment and practical outcomes
- Lead or support settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution processes
- Manage file timelines, budgets and stakeholder communication at a senior level
- Mentor junior practitioners and contribute to practice quality standards when required
What We're Looking For
- A fully admitted lawyer with at least five years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation, extending to Senior Associate level
- Direct and recent experience conducting commercial matters in the District Court, Supreme Court and Federal Court
- Sound commercial judgment paired with confident courtroom and negotiation abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills suitable for complex client and court-facing work
