Senior Cloud Architect, MAP (Multiple)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AWS consulting organization seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead migration-focused architecture work centered on the AWS Migration Acceleration Programme (MAP). This is a hands-on role where you will own the technical shape of enterprise migrations from portfolio discovery through pilot delivery, while designing and governing the platforms those workloads land on.

Our client works with government bodies and private enterprise organizations across the UK, delivering complex cloud solutions that drive genuine transformation. This position is based in London with travel to client sites up to 3 days per week, varying by customer and engagement phase.

Security Clearance: SC clearance is required due to the nature of client work. You do not need active clearance upon application, as sponsorship will be provided, but you must be UK-based and eligible to pass SC clearance checks. Future DV clearance may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across the full AWS Migration Acceleration Programme lifecycle, from discovery through execution
• Prepare and submit MAP funding applications, ensuring compliance with AWS eligibility thresholds and evidence requirements
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient AWS landing zones and migration platforms for complex enterprise workloads
• Architect large-scale systems across infrastructure, networking, and security domains using AWS reference architectures
• Develop migration roadmaps and modernization programmes aligned to business objectives
• Apply AWS Well-Architected Framework principles in hands-on technical design and governance
• Build cloud-native security solutions for risk prevention, detection, and remediation
• Provide technical leadership and governance to cross-functional delivery teams
• Translate complex migration decisions and technical concepts for business stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on experience delivering across the full MAP lifecycle, not just theoretical knowledge
• Working understanding of MAP funding submission criteria and the evidence required to unlock programme benefits
• Deep expertise designing and delivering AWS platforms for enterprise-scale workloads
• Strong architectural experience across infrastructure, networking, and security on AWS
• Demonstrated success leading landing zone design, migration roadmaps, and modernization initiatives
• Production experience with core AWS services including Organizations, CloudTrail, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, IAM, and Identity Center
• Ability to set technical direction and provide governance over significant cloud delivery programmes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to business audiences
• Technical curiosity with evidence of continuous learning and experimentation beyond day-to-day work
• Comfort working in a fast-moving consulting environment where trust is earned through delivery
• UK-based and eligible for SC security clearance

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £120,000–£140,000 annually. The client offers a discretionary bonus scheme, additional security clearance bonuses for certain clearances, and periodic share option schemes.
