About the Role
The Liquidity, Market, and Capital Risk Oversight team serves a critical function in Capital One's risk governance structure. In this Senior Business Analyst role, you will provide analytical expertise and business judgment to support sophisticated risk monitoring, assessment, and control activities across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate risk metrics, frameworks, and control effectiveness related to liquidity, market risk, and capital requirements
- Develop and maintain risk monitoring policies, procedures, and analytical methodologies
- Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to support risk assessments and reporting
- Prepare detailed analytical reports and executive presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify enhancement opportunities within risk oversight processes and recommend implementation strategies
- Work cross-functionally with business units and risk partners to ensure alignment with enterprise risk standards
- Support the testing, validation, and documentation of risk management platforms and analytical tools
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in risk management, financial analysis, or comparable analytical function
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, SQL, and quantitative data analysis tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial risk concepts including liquidity management, market risk, and capital adequacy
- Strong written and verbal communication ability, especially presenting complex analyses to diverse audiences
- Proven capability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver results within a regulated, compliance-focused environment
- Familiarity with banking regulations and risk governance frameworks highly desired
- Commitment to analytical precision and attention to detail in all deliverables
