Senior Account Executive – Energy/Commodities

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization that provides market intelligence and data solutions to the global energy and commodities sectors. Our client is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive new business development across Northwest Europe, specifically targeting prospects in the maritime and commodities trading space.

This is a hunter-focused individual contributor role based in London, where you will own the complete sales cycle from prospecting through close. You'll be selling sophisticated data intelligence platforms to industry leaders who rely on accurate, timely information to navigate complex global markets.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the full sales lifecycle from initial target identification through contract negotiation and closure
• Identify and convert new business logos across the Northwest Europe territory through strategic outbound prospecting and consultative selling
• Build trusted relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders including product teams and market analysts
• Deliver customized product demonstrations showcasing technology and intelligence solutions tailored to prospect needs
• Maintain accurate territory forecasts and demonstrate strong commercial discipline in pipeline management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine market offerings and secure high-value accounts

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in an Account Executive or similar commercial sales role
• Demonstrated success working for a technology, software, or data vendor organization
• Fluency in English plus native or professional-level fluency in French or German
• Proven track record as a dedicated "hunter" with passion for outbound prospecting and new client acquisition

Preferred experience:

• Background or domain knowledge within maritime or commodities sectors
• Proficiency with sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Experience managing product trials and complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations
