About the Role
As a Senior Production Planning Consultant, you will guide clients through complex discrete manufacturing challenges, leveraging SAP PP module expertise to enhance demand forecasting, master production scheduling, and capacity planning. Your deep technical knowledge combined with consulting acumen will help organizations streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and improve operational efficiency across multi-facility environments.
What You'll Do
- Analyze client production requirements and recommend SAP PP configurations tailored to discrete manufacturing environments
- Design and implement demand planning strategies, material requirements planning (MRP) logic, and production scheduling solutions
- Partner with manufacturing teams to optimize inventory levels, capacity utilization, and supply chain responsiveness
- Lead SAP PP module implementation and optimization projects from discovery through go-live and support
- Provide expert advisory services on best practices in production planning, forecasting, and supply chain processes
- Mentor junior consultants and collaborate with cross-functional EY teams including finance, logistics, and quality domains
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) in discrete manufacturing environments
- Proven track record of successfully delivering SAP PP implementations or system optimizations for complex manufacturers
- Strong technical expertise in demand planning, master scheduling, production orders, and capacity planning within SAP
- Solid understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and production control principles
- Excellent client-facing and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into business outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed
