Safety Professional 2

Join M. C. Dean as a Safety Professional 2 in Monroe, Ouachita Parish. This is a full-time position where you'll ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance across our mission-critical infrastructure projects and facilities.

Position Summary

As a Safety Professional 2 with M. C. Dean, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs and protocols for complex operational environments. This position reports to senior safety leadership and supports teams across electrical, electronic security, telecommunications, life safety systems, and related disciplines. You'll combine hands-on safety expertise with program coordination to maintain industry-leading safety standards and ensure full regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute workplace safety programs, policies, and standard operating procedures across project sites and facilities
• Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations to identify potential workplace hazards
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents; document findings and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and compliance guidance to field teams, contractors, and on-site personnel
• Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards across all operational areas
• Monitor safety metrics, maintain compliance documentation, and prepare safety reports for management review
• Coordinate with project managers and department heads to integrate safety protocols into planning and execution

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Professional, Safety Manager, or equivalent role in construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and applicable federal and state safety requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to train and engage diverse teams effectively
• Proficiency in safety management systems, incident documentation, and compliance reporting
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments
• High school diploma or GED required; relevant safety certification (CSP, ASP, or OHST) preferred
