Safety Lead

Join M. C. Dean as a Safety Lead based in Rices Crossing, Williamson County. We're seeking an experienced safety professional to lead and advance our workplace health and safety initiatives across our operations serving mission-critical facilities, secure environments, and complex infrastructure projects nationwide.

About This Position

This full-time Safety Lead role is central to M. C. Dean's commitment to protecting our workforce and maintaining the highest safety standards across all operations. You'll report to senior leadership and own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs that cover our diverse service lines—electrical, electronic security, telecommunications, life safety systems, automation and controls, and audiovisual installation. As our organization grows across thousands of employees and hundreds of active projects, your leadership ensures that every team member goes home safe every day while we build and maintain infrastructure for the nation's most demanding clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures aligned with OSHA standards and industry best practices
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across job sites and facilities
• Lead safety training programs and toolbox talks for field teams, supervisors, and administrative staff
• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents; recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Maintain safety documentation, compliance records, and metrics; prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies
• Partner with project managers and field supervisors to embed safety into daily operations and culture
• Stay current with regulatory changes and industry safety standards relevant to electrical, security, telecom, and life safety work

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a safety leadership role, ideally within construction, electrical contracting, or systems integration
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance
• Excellent communication and training skills; ability to engage diverse teams
• Certification such as CSP, ASP, or CHST preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Ability to travel to job sites as needed
• Proficiency with safety management software and data analysis tools
