About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll translate complex risk data into actionable business recommendations. Working alongside senior strategists and analytics teams, you'll develop frameworks and analytical approaches that directly influence Capital One's risk management priorities and business strategy.
What You'll Do
- Design and conduct strategic risk analyses that evaluate emerging threats to business objectives
- Lead cross-functional projects to develop risk measurement methodologies and insights dashboards
- Partner with business units and risk teams to test analytical hypotheses and validate strategic findings
- Synthesize complex data sets and model results into clear, executive-ready recommendations
- Build and mentor analytics capabilities within the strategic risk function
- Document processes, findings, and lessons learned to establish repeatable best practices
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, risk management, strategy, or quantitative roles
- Strong analytical foundation with demonstrated success translating data into business insights
- Proficiency with analytical tools, databases, and visualization platforms
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence without formal authority
- Strategic mindset; comfort with ambiguity and ability to structure loosely defined problems
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or related field
- Experience in financial services, risk management, or related regulated industries is a plus
