Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Representative – Workers Compensation for a full-time remote position serving Alaska. Based in Cammack Village, Pulaski County, this role is essential to helping injured workers navigate the claims process with care and expertise.

About the Role

As a Claims Representative in Workers Compensation, you'll be the primary contact for claimants, employers, and healthcare providers throughout the claim lifecycle. You'll manage cases from initial filing through resolution, ensuring every claimant receives timely, accurate support during challenging circumstances.

What You'll Do

• Investigate and process workers' compensation claims in compliance with Alaska state regulations and licensing requirements
• Communicate with claimants to gather information, explain benefits, and address concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Coordinate with medical providers to authorize treatment, manage care plans, and collect medical documentation
• Review claim files for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documentation meets legal standards
• Determine eligibility and benefits under Alaska workers' compensation law
• Maintain detailed case notes and records to support claim decisions and compliance audits
• Collaborate with adjusters, attorneys, and other professionals to resolve complex claims efficiently

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or relevant experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage sensitively with claimants and stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to balance multiple claims
• Detail-oriented mindset with accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining professional boundaries
• Familiarity with workers' compensation processes or willingness to develop expertise
• Alaska licensing or willingness to obtain as required by state regulations
