Core Duties

• Conduct thorough triage and continuous assessments of patients arriving with acute or life-threatening conditions during night shifts
• Administer medications, treatments, and ordered interventions following emergency protocols
• Partner with physicians, technicians, and support staff to coordinate rapid, coordinated responses
• Monitor clinical status closely and escalate care immediately when deterioration occurs
• Record all findings, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the electronic health record
• Provide clear discharge teaching and condition explanations to patients and families after emergency visits
• Stay prepared for trauma activations, codes, and high-acuity surges that arise overnight
• Uphold infection prevention, safety standards, and departmental readiness throughout each night shift

Skills & Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license valid for the locations of practice
• Willingness and ability to complete part-time night shifts in an emergency department setting
• Solid grounding in emergency nursing procedures and acute-care priorities
• Strong critical-thinking skills for decisive action under time pressure
• Clear, professional communication that supports seamless team collaboration
