Power Apps Developer

Hiscox seeks a Power Apps Developer for this full-time role based in 2 Locations, inviting skilled Creator professionals ready to design efficient business solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform.

About the Role

As Power Apps Developer at Hiscox you will join a collaborative delivery environment in 2 Locations focused on building secure low-code applications that improve day-to-day operations. You will translate business requirements into reliable Power Apps experiences, connect data sources, and leave clear documentation so teams can sustain the work. The post emphasises ownership of component design, testing, and ongoing refinements while you partner with stakeholders to shape prioritised outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and iterate canvas and model-driven apps using Power Apps that meet agreed user stories and non-functional standards.
• Configure Power Automate flows, Dataverse tables, forms and business rules to automate approvals, notifications and data processes.
• Integrate Power Apps solutions with Microsoft 365 services, SharePoint lists and authorised connectors while following established security practices.
• Perform unit and user-acceptance testing, resolve defects, and release updates through ALM pipelines or managed environments.
• Produce technical handover notes, training material and maintenance guides that allow operations teams to support deployments long-term.
• Collaborate with business analysts, makers and IT colleagues to capture feedback, refine backlogs and prioritise enhancements.

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on experience building production Power Apps solutions and related Power Platform components.
• Solid command of Power Fx formulas, formula-based logic, custom pages and responsive design techniques.
• Working knowledge of Dataverse data modelling, security roles, Power Automate cloud and desktop flows plus connector management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Teams and Azure Active Directory identity concepts that underpin Power Apps deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot, document and communicate technical options clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience following agile or iterative delivery approaches and delivering measurable process improvements.
