Restaurant Assistant General Manager

Join Fazoli's as a Restaurant Assistant General Manager in Terre Haute, Vigo County, and take on a full-time leadership role driving operational excellence and team growth at one of our locations. As Assistant General Manager, you'll partner with the General Manager to lead all aspects of restaurant performance, from daily operations to long-term team development.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager position is central to maintaining Fazoli's commitment to quality service, operational efficiency, and profitability. You'll share responsibility for the restaurant's success by supporting the General Manager in executing our People-Sales-Profit strategy—ensuring outstanding service, building sustainable revenue growth, and creating a workplace where team members can thrive and advance their careers.

Core Duties

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and guest satisfaction
• Develop and mentor team members using Fazoli's internal training and performance management systems; identify and cultivate emerging leaders through succession planning
• Manage scheduling, labor planning, and staffing to optimize both service quality and operational efficiency
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations
• Contribute to revenue targets by coaching the team on sales best practices and guest engagement
• Assist with inventory management, cost control, and vendor relations to protect profitability
• Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and facility security

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a quick-service environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team
• Strong operational and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of food safety standards, health codes, and restaurant compliance
• Solid understanding of restaurant finance, cost control, and profit management
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
