Thrive Restaurant Group is hiring a Part‑Time Host / Hostess for its Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar location in Easley, Pickens County.
About the Role
As a Host / Hostess you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their dining experience with a warm welcome and efficient seating.
What You'll Do
- Greet arriving guests with a friendly smile and assist with coat check if needed
- Manage the waitlist, provide accurate wait times, and seat parties promptly
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and handle incoming inquiries
- Communicate special requests to servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, menus, and entry area
- Assist with light side‑work such as refilling water glasses or clearing tables when needed
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
What We're Looking For
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine enjoyment of meeting new people
- Ability to stay calm and organized during busy periods
- Strong verbal communication and basic phone etiquette
- Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts
- Capability to stand and move for extended periods
- Previous experience in a restaurant or retail setting is a plus but not required
- Part‑time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
