About the Role
As a Resident Assistant at Gowanda Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, you'll be the direct support our residents depend on every day. This full-time position offers a morning schedule—6am to 2pm, Monday through Thursday, with additional Friday pick-up shift opportunities. You'll gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting while earning an hourly rate of $16, plus access to our free Certified Nursing Assistant training program to accelerate your career in nursing.
What You'll Do
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Support residents during meals and with mobility needs
- Help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming resident environments
- Build supportive relationships with residents and their families
- Report resident concerns and observations to the nursing staff
- Contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented care environment
What We're Looking For
- No prior healthcare experience required—we provide comprehensive training
- Genuine compassion for the elderly and those requiring care
- Reliability and willingness to commit to early morning shifts
- Ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Interest in pursuing CNA certification through our free training
