Remote Proposal Architect – Client Accounting Services

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential client in the outsourced accounting services sector. They are seeking a Remote Proposal Architect to join their Client Accounting Services division. This is a fully remote, W-2 position based in the United States.

The Proposal Architect serves as a critical bridge between sales and implementation teams, ensuring smooth transitions from prospect to client. You'll review financial files, participate in discovery calls, prepare detailed proposals, and support onboarding handoffs. This role combines analytical rigor with client-facing collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Depending on skill alignment and business needs, this position may be performed entirely within proposal development or split between proposal work and direct client accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze prospects' QuickBooks files and financial reports to identify risks, complexities, and discussion points
• Participate in file review calls with prospects, take detailed notes, and highlight items requiring clarification
• Conduct fact-finding with prospective clients to understand business processes and operational details
• Translate file review findings into insights and recommendations for proposals
• Prepare draft proposal documents and time estimate worksheets in accordance with company terms
• Partner with proposal management to finalize proposal options and ensure accuracy
• Review contracts for completeness and reassess when scope or client needs change
• Serve as a resource to implementation teams during client onboarding
• Attend weekly proposal and sales department meetings
• Identify opportunities to improve the file review, proposal preparation, and handoff process
• Work outside normal hours as needed to meet project deadlines

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Client Accounting Services environment
• Strong knowledge of fundamental bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Practical experience reviewing accounting system data and workflows (QuickBooks or similar platforms)
• Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear recommendations
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Comfort asking probing questions to gain clarity during the proposal process
• Ability to adapt to ambiguous situations and exercise sound judgment
• Team-oriented and comfortable working remotely via video conferencing

Preferred:

• Familiarity with implementation processes and procedures
• Process documentation experience
