About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential financial services organization in their search for an Equity Compensation Consultant. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employee shareholders, delivering personalized education and support across equity compensation plans including RSUs, stock options, PSUs, SARs, and ESPPs. You'll help participants understand and maximize the value of their equity benefits while connecting them to broader financial wellness resources.
This is a remote position within the United States. Core business hours are 8am–8pm EST, and candidates must be available to work shifts within that window.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee shareholders through inbound phone interactions and proactive follow-up
- Build trusted relationships by providing personalized education on equity compensation plans including RSUs, NSOs, ISOs, PSUs, SARs, and ESPPs
- Guide participants through equity award vesting, taxation, exercise and sale transactions, enrollment processes, and digital tools
- Conduct financial wellness conversations that uncover participant needs and connect equity benefits to broader financial planning goals
- Identify opportunities to introduce participants to additional financial planning and wealth management resources, facilitating warm handoffs to specialists
- Take ownership of participant inquiries from initial contact through resolution, coordinating with internal teams for seamless outcomes
- Support equity-related transactions including account setup, ESPP enrollment, stock option exercises, and trade execution support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with FINRA, SEC, and company policies
- Stay informed on equity compensation trends, financial markets, tax considerations, and regulatory developments
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve participant engagement and contribute to business growth through consultative relationship management
- Mentor peers and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- FINRA Series 7 license (active)
- FINRA Series 63 license (active)
- FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 (active)
- FINRA Fingerprinting completed
- 1–2 years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan administration, financial services, wealth management, brokerage operations, or related client-facing financial services role
- Certified Equity Professional (CEP®) Level 1 required or must be obtained within 6–12 months of hire
- Strong knowledge of equity compensation plans including RSUs, NSOs, ISOs, PSUs, SARs, and ESPPs
- Understanding of participant-level tax implications associated with equity compensation
- Knowledge of financial wellness concepts and ability to connect equity education to broader financial planning principles
- Demonstrated consultative relationship management skills with ability to build trust and identify opportunities to deepen engagement
- Experience using CRM systems, stock plan administration platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to regulatory compliance
- Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not available, including CPT/OPT)
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Experience in stock plan administration, equity compensation consulting, or financial services contact center supporting stock plan participants
- Experience supporting publicly traded company equity compensation programs
- Knowledge of executive equity compensation, Rule 144 transactions, or Section 16 insider requirements
- Demonstrated success strengthening client relationships through proactive outreach and consultative financial conversations
- Passion for improving financial literacy and helping participants maximize equity compensation value

Pay
The compensation range for this position at the client is $59,700–$84,300 base salary. Non-sales positions are eligible to participate in a bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, education, licensure requirements, and skill level.
