Hartford Hospital is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiology nursing team at our Coventry location. About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in Cardiology at Hartford Hospital, you'll deliver direct patient care to individuals with cardiac conditions and post-operative cardiac patients. This is a meaningful role where you'll combine technical expertise, patient advocacy, and clinical judgment in a fast-paced, evidence-based healthcare environment. Multiple shifts are available, offering flexibility in your work schedule.
What You'll Do
- Assess, monitor, and provide direct nursing care to cardiology patients throughout their hospital stay
- Perform vital signs monitoring, cardiac assessment, and electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretation assistance
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and coordinate post-operative care for cardiac patients
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and patients' families regarding care plans and progress
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Respond promptly to patient needs and advocate for quality outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license or Graduate Nurse (GN) eligibility
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced hospital setting

- Commitment to professional standards and continuous learning
