What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care for neurosurgery patients, including pre- and post-operative support
• Monitor vital signs, assess neurological status, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining meticulous documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and specialty staff to optimize patient safety and comfort
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, recovery expectations, and home care instructions
• Support infection prevention protocols and maintain a sterile, safe environment
• Contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives within the department

What We're Looking For

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut or Graduate Nurse (GN) status with a path to licensure
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical setting

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
