What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to pre- and post-operative neurosurgery patients, including detailed neurological assessments and monitoring
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and the broader care team to implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Manage patient comfort, safety, and pain management in accordance with clinical protocols
• Document patient progress, vital signs, and clinical observations with precision and accuracy
• Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment, and recovery expectations
• Maintain a safe, infection-control-conscious care environment
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the unit

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut RN licensure or GN (Graduate Nurse) status with commitment to licensure
• Strong foundational clinical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively within a team-based care model
• Compassion, critical thinking, and commitment to patient-centered care
• Willingness to learn specialty neurosurgery nursing practices
• Professional communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
