About the Role

As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will provide direct bedside care to a diverse patient population, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure safe, effective treatment plans. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and continuous learning within a supportive environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments according to physician orders.
• Develop and update individualized care plans, documenting all interventions in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, discharge instructions, and self‑management strategies.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status, initiating appropriate interventions and communicating with the care team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control practices, and safety protocols.
• Support interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to care coordination efforts.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure medication safety and reconcile home medications.

What We're Looking For

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Connecticut.
• BSN preferred; ADN with commitment to pursue BSN considered.
• Recent experience in acute care, med‑surg, or specialty unit settings.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced team.
• Commitment to upholding the organization's standards of integrity, compassion, respect, accountability, and teamwork.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS as applicable to the unit.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and maintain composure under pressure.
