HVC Cardiac Care Nurse

Join Yale New Haven Health as a full-time Registered Nurse specializing in cardiac care at our Southport facility in Fairfield County. We're seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled nurse to deliver exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

About the Role

As a Cardiac Care Nurse, you'll provide direct bedside nursing care to patients receiving treatment for heart disease, arrhythmias, and post-operative cardiac conditions. You'll work closely with your Nurse Manager and Clinical Coordinator to ensure every patient receives evidence-based, compassionate care aligned with Yale New Haven Health's commitment to integrity, accountability, and respect.

What You'll Do

• Monitor cardiac patients' vital signs, rhythms, and clinical responses to medications and interventions
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform wound care according to physician orders
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain detailed, accurate clinical documentation
• Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Collaborate with cardiologists, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members during rounds and care planning
• Operate and troubleshoot cardiac monitoring equipment and other clinical devices
• Respond to patient needs promptly and advocate for patient safety and comfort

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in Connecticut
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid foundation in medical-surgical nursing and patient assessment
• Ability to work effectively within a team-based care model
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
• Reliability and professional accountability
