Mercy in Springfield, Greene County is hiring a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse to join our Med Surg 7B team on a full-time basis. Help deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients across our medical-surgical unit while working alongside a supportive team of experienced clinicians.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse on Med Surg 7B, you'll apply clinical expertise to care for patients through complex medical and surgical experiences. You'll be instrumental in patient recovery—assessing conditions, planning individualized care, and coordinating seamlessly with the broader healthcare team to ensure positive outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans grounded in the nursing process
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures with attention to safety and patient comfort
• Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, recovery, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other specialists to coordinate integrated care
• Uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and create a respectful care environment
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement, and professional excellence on the unit

What We're Looking For

• Valid RN license or active Graduate Nurse status in your state
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to prioritize competing patient needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassion and emotional resilience when caring for patients in vulnerable situations
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
• Availability to work full-time in a hospital environment
