Regional SEO Team Lead

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital marketing agency seeking a Regional SEO Team Lead to own delivery, growth, and operational excellence of SEO services across EMEA and APAC markets.

In this senior leadership role, you will oversee a regional SEO team and ensure high-quality delivery across Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, and emerging AI/GEO/LLM optimization services. You'll work within established global frameworks while adapting strategies for regional market needs.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Leading all SEO delivery across your assigned region, ensuring adherence to quality standards and global best practices
• Managing regional SEO resourcing, capacity planning, and project prioritization across in-house and external teams
• Ensuring projects execute within budget and defined metrics, overseeing time tracking and providing insights for efficiency improvements
• Driving SEO account growth by identifying upsell opportunities and supporting pre-sales with scoping and proposal development
• Managing and mentoring SEO specialists, fostering a collaborative high-performing culture with clear training agendas and development objectives
• Ensuring alignment between Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, Content, UX/CRO, and Paid Media teams for integrated strategy delivery
• Participating in client calls for strategy reviews, technical updates, and performance reporting
• Supporting quarterly business reviews alongside client services teams to demonstrate SEO contribution to client success
• Collaborating with global leadership and other regional leads to share learnings and evolve service offerings
• Championing AI and GenAI innovation, encouraging adoption of new tools and automation that enhance delivery and scalability

What We're Looking For

Our client needs an experienced SEO leader with a proven track record in agency environments. The ideal candidate brings:

• Extensive experience leading SEO teams and delivering technical and on-page SEO services at scale
• Strong understanding of emerging AI-driven search optimization including AIO, GEO, and LLM strategies
• Demonstrated success managing P&L, achieving margin targets, and driving account growth
• Experience with vendor management and smart outsourcing within quality control frameworks
• Proven ability to mentor and develop team members with clear performance objectives
• Strong collaboration skills working across technical, content, UX, and paid media disciplines
• Comfort participating in client-facing strategy discussions and business reviews
• Process-oriented mindset with experience creating or maintaining SOPs and delivery frameworks
• Passion for innovation and adoption of AI tools to enhance team efficiency and client outcomes
• Based in or able to work from London with regional coverage across EMEA and APAC markets
