Commercial Appraiser

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential commercial real estate organization seeking a Commercial Appraiser to join their valuation practice. Our client works across the full spectrum of commercial property valuation, from traditional appraisal reports to market studies, feasibility analysis, and strategic consulting engagements. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse assignments while developing your expertise in a collaborative, professional environment.

Location: United States (multiple locations available in North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska)

Responsibilities

• Engage valuation assignments and identify appropriate scope of work for commercial properties
• Determine and apply suitable approaches and methodology for property valuation
• Conduct data collection and comprehensive market research
• Analyze complex highest and best use scenarios
• Review and analyze revenue and expense performance data
• Develop cash flows utilizing discounted cash flow models
• Perform analyses of comparable sales and detailed cost analyses
• Draw market comparisons to develop well-supported opinions of value
• Provide mentorship to less experienced professionals
• Support business development and client relationship management initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required
• Certified General Appraiser license (required)
• 2-5 years of experience appraising commercial real estate
• MAI designation candidacy is a plus
• Mastery of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook/Teams, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Argus Enterprise or Rockport VAL preferred
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving approach

Pay

Our client offers a salary plus fee-split compensation structure with expected annual earnings of $75,000 - $200,000, depending on experience, performance, and geographic location. A comprehensive benefits package is also available to eligible employees.
