About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential logistics technology organization in their search for a Head of Data Engineering to join a newly formed division building cutting-edge systems from the ground up. This is a fully remote role open to candidates across Europe and the Americas.

Our client is backed by serial entrepreneurs who have previously built and exited category-defining ventures. You'll report directly to the department founder and work alongside a world-class team of engineers, researchers, and commercial leaders focused on achieving rapid market validation and scalable traction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute core zero-to-one data engineering initiatives in the logistics domain
• Translate strategic vision into concrete execution roadmaps and drive rapid implementation from prototype to production
• Architect scalable data systems and infrastructure with complete technical autonomy
• Drive critical engineering milestones to position the division for rapid growth
• Build data pipelines, analytics platforms, and scalable solutions without corporate red tape
• Take extreme end-to-end ownership of the data engineering function

What We're Looking For

• Based in Europe or the Americas (or open to remote arrangements in these regions)
• High-agency builder mindset with proven domain expertise in data engineering
• Track record of building data systems from scratch in fast-paced environments
• Strong technical background in data architecture, pipeline development, and scalable infrastructure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive execution without layers of approval
• Proven ability to move quickly from concept to production
