This Radiologic Technologist - Main Campus, LOSC & BHP position at Nationwidechildrens in Main Campus, Columbus, OH centers on producing clear diagnostic images while prioritizing patient comfort and radiation safety. Working full time across Main Campus, LOSC & BHP settings, you will collaborate with clinical teams to obtain studies that directly inform patient care plans, maintain equipment readiness, and uphold sterile technique and documentation standards every shift. Core Duties

  • Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging parameters to capture high-quality radiographic studies while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
  • Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment, perform routine quality-control checks, and report any performance issues promptly.
  • Explain procedures in clear, age-appropriate language, equip patients with necessary shielding, and monitor condition throughout each exam.
  • Review images for diagnostic adequacy, adjust technique as needed, and transmit studies to the PACS system with complete, accurate documentation.
  • Maintain inventory of radiographic supplies, follow infection-control protocols, and participate in departmental in-service education and competency assessments.
  • Support covering radiologists and referring providers by answering technique questions and ensuring turnaround meets clinical urgency.

What You Bring

  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and active state licensure for radiologic technology in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain both upon hire.
  • Associate degree or certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Demonstrated competence in anatomy, radiographic positioning, and digital imaging systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow clear communication with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary staff under varying workflow demands.
