Core Duties Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging parameters to capture high-quality radiographic studies while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure. Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment, perform routine quality-control checks, and report any performance issues promptly. Explain procedures in clear, age-appropriate language, equip patients with necessary shielding, and monitor condition throughout each exam. Review images for diagnostic adequacy, adjust technique as needed, and transmit studies to the PACS system with complete, accurate documentation. Maintain inventory of radiographic supplies, follow infection-control protocols, and participate in departmental in-service education and competency assessments. Support covering radiologists and referring providers by answering technique questions and ensuring turnaround meets clinical urgency. What You Bring Current ARRT certification in Radiography and active state licensure for radiologic technology in Ohio, or eligibility to obtain both upon hire.
