About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential federal technology services firm seeking a Proposal Writer to join their dedicated Growth and Proposal team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.

In this role, you'll own the content strategy and production of responses to government Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFI), and other critical deliverables that support our client's business development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead content planning, writing, graphics ideation, peer reviews, and editing across proposal volumes and artifacts including technical approaches, management plans, corporate experience, staffing plans, vendor-written Performance Work Statements, oral presentations, and technical challenges
• Collaborate with proposal, business development, capture, solutioning, and operations teams to clear blockers and develop compliant, responsive, and compelling proposals
• Interview subject matter experts to extract technical information and distill it into clear, persuasive, and differentiated narrative and graphic concepts
• Manage peer, cross-functional, executive, and external relationships to ensure consistent input, alignment, and buy-in to the proposal process
• Demonstrate disciplined and ethical use of AI tools as an extension of critical thinking—not as a substitute—including arguing against your own draft, shifting feedback based on evaluation criteria, and verifying sources
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the writing practice, proposal function, and broader Growth team

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience leading proposal volumes for U.S. federal government clients across multi-phase and quick-turn efforts
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and value propositions to diverse stakeholder audiences
• Familiarity with U.S. federal agencies (civilian and defense); experience writing proposals for VA, CMS, SEC, and DoW is preferred
• Strong understanding of federal contracting including the FAR, contract vehicles, and the opportunity/business development lifecycle
• Fluency with key government technology concepts such as agile, human-centered design, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and product management
• Drive to excel under deadline pressure and in collaborative cross-functional environments
• Communication and persuasion skills for interviewing SMEs, offering peer feedback, and presenting to leadership
• Intellectual curiosity about the work and how to position the organization competitively
• Bachelor's degree
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Certain roles may require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or security clearance
