Analytics Platforms Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization serving global markets, and our talent team is seeking an Analytics Platforms Architect for a remote position based in the USA. This is a highly technical leadership role where you'll define and build the data infrastructure that powers business intelligence, metrics governance, and AI-enabled analytics across the organization.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor position at the Principal/Staff level. You won't just design systems—you'll write code, ship production infrastructure, and work directly alongside engineering teams to deliver critical platform capabilities. As the platform organization grows, there will be opportunities to build and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Own data platform architecture: Define the technical architecture for semantic layers, shared analytics platforms, and governed business metrics. Make architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, usability, and regulatory requirements.
• Build production systems: Design and implement data models, pipelines, services, tooling, and SDKs. Partner with Analytics Engineering and Data Infrastructure teams as a senior technical contributor, taking ownership of platform components from concept through production.
• Enable AI-native analytics: Define how the analytics organization uses AI in development, analysis, testing, and exploration. Build governance layers that allow AI agents to safely access trusted business data and metrics.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives: Drive technical projects spanning Product, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, and Accounting. Partner with Finance to ensure metrics reconcile with company books and reporting standards.
• Raise technical standards: Provide mentorship through design reviews and hands-on collaboration. Establish engineering standards and improve documentation to make data more accessible across teams.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or data platforms
• Proven track record designing and building large-scale shared data platforms and infrastructure
• Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, pipelines, and production systems
• Demonstrated ability to make complex architectural decisions and translate them into working systems
• Hands-on coding skills and willingness to build production systems alongside engineers
• Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams without direct authority
• Strong problem-solving abilities and track record of bringing ambiguous initiatives to completion
• Experience establishing trusted, governed, or standardized business metrics (highly valuable)
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered analytics, data workflows, or agents (strong plus)
• Experience with financial, regulated, or highly sensitive data (plus)
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
