About the Role

What You'll Do
- Direct the occupancy cycle—marketing available units, screening applicants, conducting resident interviews, coordinating move-ins, and verifying housing eligibility.
- Monitor daily resident access and occupancy activities while maintaining property policies, security protocols, and program compliance.
- Supervise on-site staff in maintenance, janitorial, and administrative roles; conduct hiring, assign responsibilities, provide performance feedback, and enforce standards.
- Develop and implement emergency response protocols for fire, natural disasters, and safety incidents; coordinate staff procedures and resident communication.
- Be available for urgent after-hours emergencies involving safety concerns, maintenance failures, or resident crises.
- Build and maintain positive resident relationships through open communication, conflict resolution, and community leadership.
- Coordinate on-site services to align with organizational policy, funding requirements, and resident needs.
- Maintain complete property records and organized tenant files in compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
- Identify and process equipment and supply needs following organizational purchasing procedures.
- Oversee property maintenance, coordinate repairs, and develop preventative maintenance schedules.
- Organize resident meetings, staff gatherings, and community events with service partners.
- Monitor financial performance through budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Administer lease enforcement, including notice issuance and eviction coordination per applicable law.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience: Minimum three years as a property manager for multi-family residential housing, ideally affordable or permanent supportive housing. Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation and insurance proof. Current work authorization in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship). CPR/First Aid certification or commitment to obtain before hire. Willingness to pass background check, drug screening, and tuberculosis test.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work, business, public administration, or related field. Experience supervising 2+ staff members. Management of 50+ unit properties. Oversight of annual budgets exceeding $750,000.
